Your hosts, Van and Barbara Hudson, have restored this grand old home themselves and love to discuss her history. Barbara is a teacher and writer while Van is a jack-of-all trades who has remodeled several older homes.
This Victorian bed and breakfast is located within two miles of downtown Bellingham and Western Washington University, and is nicely situated a bit over an hour from both Seattle, Washington and Vancouver, Canada. |

The South Room is bright and sunny, with a view of Bellingham Bay and islands of the San Juans. It features a marble topped dresser of Van's grandfather as well as a beautiful flower garden quilt. This comfortable yet spacious room is $110 which includes a large, private bath with plenty of space for toiletries. This room also has a small table for using the free wireless with your laptop. |
The East Room features the original bath of the house complete with claw foot tub and copper shower ring. This room too has family heirloom furnishings and a comfortable queen size bed. The East Room is $90 and is very quiet, facing the side garden. |
Plan to spend an evening at the DeCann House, talking or playing pool in the parlor. A restful night's sleep is followed by our delicious breakfasts, which will send you on your way with a smile.
